Douglas began his business career in 1963 with Deloitte & Touche, an international accounting firm. At Deloitte & Touche, he specialized in Retirement and Tax Planning for businesses and individuals. He retired in 1982 as Partner in Charge of the Sacramento Office of Deloitte & Touche to start his own firm.

Behl Financial is a complete financial services firm. The firm specializes in providing financial, retirement and tax planning for individuals and businesses, including planning for school employees, doctors, lawyers and business owners. Douglas is an LPL Investment Advisor Representative and Certified Public Accountant.
